Disability Law Society
The goal of the Disability Law Society is to encourage discussions and interactions among students and presenters regarding issues relevant to people with disabilities and their allies. The club is designed for everyone; people with disabilities, those whose primary work is with people with disabilities, and lawyers who will need to consider the impact of disability in their future practice. In order to address issues affecting many areas of the community, the presentations will be broad, to enable discussion on a variety of topics. The Disability Law Club promotes independence, self-reliance and full inclusion for people with disabilities. We aim to partner on disability rights issues with people with disabilities in the larger community. We accomplish our goals through education and training. We focus on cross-disability issues that affect people with disabilities as well as their non-disabled allies.
