President: Dana Miniat Dana Miniat

Dana Miniat is a 3L and the President of the Business Law Society. She studied finance at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. Prior to attending law school, Dana worked for a Fortune 500 company, Robert Half International, for three years in Nashville, Tennessee. Her legal areas of interest include corporate governance and corporate social responsibility. In addition to her role in the Business Law Society, Dana has been involved on campus as a contributor to and has participated in various mock trial competitions. She has experience working for a Denver firm specializing in corporate litigation and commercial law. Dana has also worked as a legal intern for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. As president, Dana strives to increase the Business Law Society’s visibility in the Denver legal community by generating valuable networking and educational events.

Secretary: Jennifer Koss Jennifer Koss

Jen is a 2L at DU Law. She studied political science and pre-law at Coastal Carolina University. Jen is pursuing a corporate and commercial law certification. In addition to her role in the Business Law Society, she is President of the DU Law Student Ambassadors organization. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys hiking and skiing.

Treasurer: John Gronka John Gronka

John Gronka is a native of Georgia. John studied at the University of Colorado where he earned degrees in English and Philosophy. John is interested in Corporate Law, Contracts, and Mergers and Acquisitions. During his time as an undergraduate, John helped open a microbrewery in Colorado. John is a “Foodie” and regularly enjoys trying new restaurants, cuisines, and craft beers, of course.

VP of Marketing & Events: Donovan Gibbons Donovan Gibbons

Donovan is a Colorado Native, born and raised in Fort Collins. He attended the University of Colorado in Boulder and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy with a focus on Law & Society. Donovan is interested in pursuing a career in corporate law. When Donovan is not hitting the books, he enjoys hitting weights at the gym or getting out of town to experience the great Colorado outdoors.

1L Representative: Thomas Bealer Thomas Bealer

Tom Bealer is a 1L at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. After graduating from the University of Colorado in Boulder with a degree in Finance, Tom went to work for the small finance firm Personal Capital. Tom hopes to work with small to medium sized businesses, helping to facilitate their growth through a career in corporate law. When not studying, you can find Tom either rock climbing, golfing, skiing or rooting for the Broncos.

1L Representative: David Cooper David Cooper

David is a Michigan native, born and raised in the city of Kalamazoo. He attended Miami University in Ohio getting a degree in Finance with other focuses in Statistics. After he completed his undergraduate studies, David moved to Chicago where he worked for a large Private Staffing firm called Insight Global and also as a personal trainer and substitute teacher. David moved to Denver to attend DU’s Sturm College of Law and is interested in both the litigation and transactional sides of real estate law, specifically the financing contracts for commercial projects. David also has an interest in Sports and Entertainment Law as well as IP law. For fun, David enjoys playing golf, skiing, hiking and most of the other activities that Colorado has to offer.

1L Representative: Natalie Stanley Natalie Stanley

Natalie Stanley was born and raised in Key West, FL. She recently relocated to Colorado to attend the University of Denver Strum College of Law where she is currently a 1L. She completed her Bachelors of Science at Florida State University located in Tallahassee, FL where she majored in Sociology and minored in Business. She hopes to pursue a career in Corporate Law and Contracts after completing law school. Since beginning at Strum College of Law she has been named 1L Representative of the Business Law Society as well as an Ambassador for the Sports and Entertainment Law Society. Growing up in Key West cultivated Natalie’s love for the ocean. Natalie enjoys spending her free time being out on the water, fishing, diving, and soaking up the sun.

1L Representative: Marc Tawil Marc Tawil

Marc is a Florida native, born and raised in Orlando. He studied at the University of South Florida in Tampa and earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Marc is interested in pursuing a career in corporate law. Specifically, he is interested in negotiations. Prior to law school, Marc was a state champion fencer. Currently, he is interested in snowboarding, hiking, experiencing life where it snows, and reveling in all the food the world has to offer.
