The Cross-Cultural Immersion for the Law Profession (Mexico) series has been designed as a highly interactive and exciting language acquisition program, providing a unique opportunity to learn Spanish through profound cultural exchange.
The Spanish Immersion curriculum will be offered in various week-long sessions to be held in beautiful Mérida, Mexico, located in the Yucatan peninsula. These hands-on excursions have been customized into competency-based sessions, specifically for beginners and intermediate to advanced students. The Spanish Immersion for Law Professionals has been submitted for CLE credit.
The days in Mérida will be full of unique cultural experiences, complemented by Spanish sessions from a University College Faculty guide and various law-related activities, including visits to Mérida State Parliament and local law firms. The sessions will also include trips to the port city of Progreso, a service learning project, as well as a trip to a number of Mayan Ruins along the Puuc Route culminating in a light and sound show at the Mayan ruin of Uxmal.
