Veronica Rossman

Civil Procedure

Visiting Assistant Professor

Veronica Rossman graduated from Columbia University with a BA in Comparative Literature and received her JD from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, where she was Editor-in-Chief of the Hastings Constitutional Law Quarterly. After graduation, she clerked for the Honorable A. William Maupin of the Nevada Supreme Court. Following her clerkship, she practiced civil litigation at Morrison & Foerster in Washington, D.C. and Denver, served as an Assistant Federal Public Defender in Denver, and was a Staff Attorney for the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco, focusing on civil rights and constitutional law. In 2008-2009, Professor Rossman taught in the Lawyering Process Program. She serves as a cooperating counsel with the ACLU of Colorado.

Professor Rossman teaches civil procedure and conflicts of law. Her research interests include civil procedure, civil rights law, appellate advocacy, legal profession, and the comprehensive law movement. Professor Rossman is currently studying procedural justice issues in Colorado’s problem-solving and community courts.
