Mary Steefel is the Director of Academic Achievement for the Sturm College of Law. After graduating from the University of Colorado School of Law, Mary clerked for Judge Robert H. McWilliams Jr. on the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. She practiced in the areas of litigation and tax and estate planning for a mid-sized Denver law firm and as a sole practitioner. While in practice, she completed an LLM in Taxation from the University of Denver Graduate Tax Program. She has taught in legal education in the areas of legal research, writing, and appellate advocacy in various capacities both at the University of Colorado and at the University of Denver. Most recently, she was a Lawyering Process Professor at the University of Denver.
