John Boyd has been Administrative Partner and Chief Operating Officer for large law firms including Winthrop Stimson, a New York based global firm, and Andrews Kurth, a 300-attorney Houston based firm. His experience includes strategy development and implementation, practice management, business development, mergers, and the management of all firm operational and practice support services. A graduate of the University of Michigan Law School, he has practiced antitrust and business law, and served as First Assistant Attorney General for the State of Colorado.

In his consulting practice, he advises law firms on strategic planning and implementation, organizational development, search, and management issue resolution. He also assists clients with recession-related management issues including productivity, leverage, expenses, and business development. He is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Denver Law School where he teaches Law Firm Operations and Management, Legal Practice Seminar, and Strategic Marketing and Business Development in the MSLA and JD Programs.
