Jerry McPeake began his legal career in 1984 with the Jackson, Mississippi law firm of Butler, Snow, O’Mara, Stevens & Cannada, PLLC as a runner and legal assistant. He became a paralegal in 1987 and worked in that capacity for over 17 years at various law firms in both Mississippi and Colorado. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Mississippi College in Paralegal Studies with a minor in Business Administration. In 2004 Jerry completed his Master’s Degree in Legal Administration at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. After receiving his Master’s degree, Jerry took over as the administrator at the Denver law firm of Ogborn, Summerlin & Ogborn, LLC, where he oversaw all aspects of the firm’s management for nearly seven years. He is currently the Firm Administrator for Taylor|Anderson, LLP, a national law firm based in Denver with offices in Arizona and California.

A member of the Association of Legal Administrators since August 2004, Jerry has served on the Mile High Chapter’s Board of Directors since 2006. He was Chairperson of the MHC Education Committee during the 2007-08 board year, Chapter Secretary and Chair of the Membership Committee during the 2009-10 board year, Chapter Vice President and Co-Chair of the Business Partnering Committee during the 2010-11 board year, and is currently the Chapter President-Elect and Chairperson of the Business Partnering Committee. He has served on other Chapter committees and chaired the 2008, 2009 and 2010 Mile High Educational Summit conferences held at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law as part of Professional Legal Management Week. Jerry recently served on the ALA’s Regional Nominating Committee, which selected candidates to represent ALA Region 4.

Born in Jackson, Mississippi in 1965, Jerry made Denver his adopted hometown in 1994. He lives in Denver’s Montclair neighborhood with his six year old Bichon Frise, Willie. During his free time, Jerry enjoys reading, skiing, hiking, biking and other outdoor activities.
