Jeremy Weintraub is a visiting professor at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. He previously taught Legal Reasoning, Writing & Research and Written & Oral Advocacy at New York Law School.
Jeremy worked in private practice for eleven years in New York City before joining the University of Denver Sturm College of Law as a visiting professor. He began his legal career with Kelley Drye & Warren LLP and most recently was Counsel at Schoeman, Updike & Kaufman, LLP. In private practice, Jeremy focused upon commercial litigation and alternative dispute resolution, as well as some criminal defense.
In the area of commercial litigation, Jeremy represented clients in disputes involving many different areas of the law, including breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, class actions, corporate dissolution, employment, fraud, insurance coverage, the securities laws, tortious interference, and professional malpractice. Jeremy’s experience in alternative dispute resolution included serving as a mediator for the Commercial Division of New York State Supreme Court, volunteering as an arbitrator for New York City Civil Court, and representing clients in FINRA and AAA arbitrations.
Jeremy lives in Denver with his wife, Jennifer, and their son.
