Carol Harmon

Carol Harmon has been a natural resources professional for 35 years. She currently works on enforcement issues for the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, the agency that regulates oil and gas drilling in the state. She previously provided legal advice to the agency as a member of the Colorado Attorney General’s Office.
Prior to public service, she worked as a lawyer for companies engaged in oil and gas production and natural gas midstream services. She has also worked for firms with both domestic and international oil and gas clients. Before becoming a lawyer, Carol was a uranium exploration geologist.
She received her J.D. from the University of Denver, College of Law, her M.A. in Geology from Duke University, and her B.A. (Magna Cum Laude/Sigma Xi) in Geology from Smith College.
