Admissions Information
MSLA Admissions Requirements
Applicant for the MSLA degree are accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis for a start date in January, May, or August. Completed applications are notified within 4-6 weeks.

Application Checklist:
Citizens or permanent residents:
- Competed MSLA application form
- An essay of up to five double-spaced typewritten pages on the general topic “Why I Wish to Pursue a Career in Legal Administration.”
- Official transcripts from undergraduate and graduate course work.
- LSAT, GMAT, or GRE scores (unless you already have a graduate degree)
- $45 nonrefundable processing fee
- Letters of recommendation (You may provide a maximum of two letters of recommendation from professors or employers. These letters are optional and should be submitted with your application.)
International Applicants:
- Completed MSLA application form
- Completed International Admission application
- Completed Supplemental Form
- Official transcripts from each college or university attended, including an official statement of degrees earned and accompanied by certified English translations
- Submit two letters of recommendation from professors or employers
- TOEFL (TOEFL is required for students whose first language or language of instruction is not English. Please have ETS send your TOEFL score directly to us (institution code 484230). We also accept the EELTS test.)
- Essay “Why I Wish to Pursue a Career in Legal Administration.”
- Financial verification form (Complete the Financial Verification Form included in the international application above. Provide an original bank letter showing cash availability or official proof of scholarship/government sponsorship. Please see international application for further details.)

MSLA Certificate Admissions Requirements
Applications for the Certificate in Court or Law Firm, and International Court Administration are accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis for a start date in January, May, or August.
Application Checklist:
- Completed application
- Official transcripts from undergraduate and graduate coursework
- Essay “Why I Wish to Pursue a Career in Legal Administration.”
- A non-refundable $45 processing fee
- Two letters of recommendation
Upon acceptance into the MSLA degree or certificate program, students are required to make an additional $300 tuition deposit to reserve their place. Deposits are non-refundable and are credited toward a student’s tuition payment.
