Windows Printing Options (Quick Reference)

The default printing settings are set to Black and White and duplex. To change the default settings, please follow the steps below:

  1. Open the document you want to print.
  2. Do NOT click the print button on the toolbar.
  3. Go to the File Menu.
  4. Select Print…
  5. Select the Printer you would like to print to.
  6. Click the Properties or Preferences button.
  7. Click the Finishing tab to adjust duplex printing options by checking or un-checking the Print on both sides option.
  8. Click the Color tab to adjust color printing options by checking or un-checking the Print in Grayscale option.
  9. Click OK
  10. Click Print

Mac Printing Options (Quick Reference)

The default printing settings are set to Black and White and duplex. To change the default settings, please follow the steps below:

  1. Open the document you want to print.
  2. Do NOT click the print button on the toolbar.
  3. Go to the File Menu.
  4. Select Print…
  5. Select the Printer you would like to print to.
  6. If necessary, click the expand button.
  7. Versions 10.8, 10.7, 10.6 & 10.5: Check or uncheck the Two-Sided option. Select the Layout menu if you would like to verify binding options.
    Version 10.4: Select the Layout menu to adjust duplex printing options by setting the Two-Sided option to either Off or Long-edged binding.
  8. Versions 10.8, 10.7 & 10.6: Select the Color/Quality Options menu to adjust color printing options by checking or un-checking the Print Color as Gray option.
    * Version 10.5:* Select the Color Options menu to adjust color printing options by changing the Print Color as Gray option between Off or On.
    Version 10.4: Select the ColorSync options menu to adjust color printing options by setting the Quartz Filter option to None (implying color) or Gray Tone.
  9. Click Print
