Identifying Childcare Provider Resource

Recognizing that conference participants may wish to bring their children to the conference, Critical Race Theory (CRT) 20: Honoring Our Past, Charting Our Future, the following resource has been identified.

It is the parent’s responsibility to make contact with, evaluate, make the necessary arrangements for, and pay for the cost of the care. The University of Iowa is merely identifying this potential resource, and by doing so, neither it nor the University of Iowa College of Law, the Board of Regents, State of Iowa, nor any member of the CRT 20 planning committee assure the quality, availability, safety, or reliability of the care.

The University of Iowa is aware of this resource through the 4Cs, which is a local child care resource and referral organization that administers a babysitting service called the Occasional Care Child Care program. The Occasional Care Child Care program predominantly lists college students who are willing to babysit. The student normally comes to the residence of the parent. The parent provides the food, clothing, and any other items necessary to care for his or her child.

The listing of babysitters can be found at this website:
