“Latin America’s mining sector has enjoyed significant expansion in recent years. Two countries that exemplify mining sector growth are Argentina and Peru. However, the countries are different in how the mining sector has expanded and what challenges and opportunities lay ahead.
“‘Comparative Latin American Mining Law,’ will be taught by two of Latin America’s pre-eminent mining law experts – Florencia Heredia of Buenos Aires, Argentina and Luis Carlos Rodrigo of Lima, Peru – who will introduce students to mining law in the region. We are delighted that Ms. Heredia and Mr. Rodrigo, who are trustees of the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation and officers in the International Bar Association Mining Law Committee, will be in Denver the week of August 3-7 to teach about this important and timely topic.”
