Assistant Dean of Career Development
Misae Nishikura graduated from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and worked as an in-house attorney for a Denver-based private investment company until joining the Career Development Center in 2004. As an in-house attorney for a company that invests in Japan, Misae was responsible for resolving legal and cultural issues arising from international business transactions and litigation, as well as developing and implementing litigation strategies for lawsuits in the U.S. and Japan.
Prior to assuming the in-house position, Misae taught Japanese at the University of Colorado at Boulder for twelve years and also worked as a language and cross-cultural consultant for private companies.

Director of Public Interest
Lindsey Webb graduated from Wesleyan University and Stanford Law School. While at Stanford, Lindsey interned at the Migrant Farmworker Justice Project in Belle Glade, Florida, and the Georgia Resource Center in Atlanta, Georgia, an organization providing habeas representation to prisoners on Georgia’s death row. Lindsey also spent two years as a Prettyman Fellow in the Criminal Justice Clinic at Georgetown Law School in Washington, D.C., where she earned her LLM in Advocacy.
After graduation, Lindsey worked as a Deputy State Public Defender in the Colorado State Public Defender’s Office. In this capacity, she represented people accused of misdemeanors and felonies, in addition to children accused of crimes in juvenile court. Lindsey also worked as an attorney in the appellate division of the Public Defender’s Office, where she handled direct appeals of felony convictions. At Georgetown Law School, she supervised law students enrolled in the clinic in their representation of persons accused of misdemeanors in the District of Columbia, and taught weekly classes on trial advocacy skills. Lindsey has also taught trial advocacy skills classes to new lawyers and law students in Colorado.

Career/Student Development Consultant
Gayle Keahey graduated with honors from the University of Oklahoma College of Law and practiced as a civil litigation attorney in Texas for thirteen years. She received her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Denver, where she was a University Honors Program and National Merit Scholarship recipient and was named Phi Beta Kappa. As a law student, Gayle was a Legal Research and Writing Instructor, served as the Administrative Advocate for the University, and participated on the Client Counseling Team and National Trial Competition Team, competing in the National Trial Competition as a Regional Champion.
Following law school, Gayle was an Associate and Participating Associate at Fulbright & Jaworski in Houston for five years, where she practiced litigation as a member of the Health Law Section, representing hospitals, physicians, nurses, medical schools, pharmaceutical companies, medical device manufacturers, and other health-related clients. After moving to Dallas, Gayle joined the litigation section of Vial, Hamilton, Koch & Knox as an Associate and then Partner, where she represented clients in medical and legal malpractice, product liability, worker’s compensation, and other insurance defense matters.
Prior to joining the Career Development Center in June 2007, Gayle also served as Program Director and Director of Children’s Ministries for eight years for a large congregation in Texas, where she had extensive experience managing numerous programs, events, volunteers and staff. She is excited to bring her combination of legal and administrative experiences to the students, staff, and alumni of Sturm College of Law.
Hannah Wanebo
Career Consultant
Hannah Wanebo received her B.A. in Chemistry from Colorado College in 1999 and her J.D. from the University of Colorado School of Law in 2005. While in law school, Hannah was on the Dean’s List for four consecutive semesters and received the William O. DeSouchet Award for excellence in trial advocacy.
After graduation, Hannah clerked for Judge Daniel C. Hale of the Boulder District Court. The following year, she clerked for Justice Nathan B. Coats of the Colorado Supreme Court. Following these clerkships, she joined Kamlet Shepherd & Reichert, LLP as an associate in Corporate and Securities, where she represented clients ranging from small start-up companies to multi-billion dollar entities.
As a former teacher, Hannah is excited to be back in academia, where she will have the opportunity to share her experience and enthusiasm with students and alumni of the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. She can be reached at X1-6463 in the Career Development Suite 223.

Career Consultant
Gretchen Haas received her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 1980 from Emerson College in Boston. After four years of practice in the public schools and hospital setting, she began a career in the legal field. From 1986-1990, she served as Associate Director of Alumni Relations at Boston College Law School and then as Director of Membership Services at the Massachusetts Bar Association. From 1990-1997, she was Director of Legal Recruiting at Jenner & Block, a large litigation firm in Chicago, IL. In 1997, Gretchen moved to Denver to assume the position of Director of Member Services at the Colorado and Denver Bar Associations. She joined the Career Development Center at DU Law as Associate Director in the Fall of 1998. She is now a part-time Career Consultant.

Career Consultant
Angela graduated with her BA in economics from Carleton College and then from the University of Colorado School of Law. While in law school, Angela clerked for a boutique firm specializing in elder law, and also worked as a legal intern in Arthur Andersen’s tax department. During law school, Angela served as a board member for the Colorado Women’s Bar Association. She was awarded the Colorado Women’s Bar Association scholarship for two academic years. At Carleton, Angela was named Phi Beta Kappa and graduated magna cum laude with distinction in her major.
Prior to joining the Career Development Office staff in July 2007, Angela worked at KPMG as a tax associate in their corporate/partnership division. Most recently, she worked for LexisNexis as the Account Executive to the law schools in Colorado, Utah and Wyoming. In this position she provided online legal research instruction and support to students, faculty and librarians at five law schools. She is now a part-time career consultant.

Career Consultant
Richard DelliVeneri, J.D., joined the Career Development Center as a career consultant after an accomplished legal career of more than twenty-five years in the public and private sectors. As a lawyer in the private sector, he worked in leadership roles at major banking institutions such as Citicorp, World Savings, and Great Western Bank, where he was responsible for key management assignments and for developing and implementing complex legal strategies and solutions for both litigation and transactional matters. In the public sector, Richard has distinguished himself in high profile proceedings of local and national importance as Regional Counsel for the West Region of the U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of Thrift Supervision and as an Assistant Attorney General for the Colorado Attorney General’s Office. His assignments included the successful criminal prosecution of Charles Keating, Jr. and the representation of key government witnesses in the Keating Five proceedings before the U.S. Senate Ethics Committee.
Fulfilling an interest he has long held in the area of career development, Richard now provides consulting services in career management and transition to students and alumni of the DU Law School.
Richard received his Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, and his Bachelor of Arts degree from UCLA.
Ben Siebrase
Public Interest Program Coordinator
Ben Siebrase graduated from DePauw University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. After graduation, Ben spent a year traveling throughout the Western United States as a distribution manager for a publications company, working with individuals and community organizations to raise funds through distribution projects. He has been volunteering with community organizations in his home state of Indiana for the past several years. Ben continues to pursue community service here in Denver, where, in addition to his work as Public Interest Coordinator, he is also involved in Habitat for Humanity.
Ben is responsible for managing the Public Interest Practicum program and assisting the Director of Public Interest in developing and organizing on-campus events. Ben can be reached in X1-6045 in the Career Development Suite 223.
