Private Practice Law, Public Interest Heart

Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 12:00pm - 1:00pm
Location: Law 180

We know many students arrive at law school set on being public interest lawyers but for many different reasons reason find themselves in the position of going into private practice. For many of these students, they feel like they’ve lost a part of their identity, they experience guilt, or they worry they will never be able to integrate their public interest values into their professional lives as lawyers while at a firm. As part of Denver Law’s month long celebration of National Pro Bono Week, join a conversation with private firm lawyers who also have a public interest identity and have been able to integrate that part of themselves through pro bono and/or community work. Lawyers from Ireland Stapleton, Gibson Dunn, Davis Graham and Stubbs, and Dahl Fischer & Wilks will be present. Lunch provided.
