CLR - Case Law Research I

Case law research is an integral part of research, but when getting started it is important to learn the hierarchy and structure of the legal system, as well as how cases are laid out. This class will introduce digests, headnotes, and key numbers to help students conceptualize legal issues properly.

Manos Unidas Earthquake Relief Fundraiser

Event will take place Monday 10/02/17- Thursday 10/05/17 from 12p.m.-2 p.m. on Student Street. LLSA & IRAC are raising funds for Manos Unidas, a non-profit 503 © organization whose goal is to provide immediate relief to the population affected by the earthquake in Mexico on 9/19/17.

Irving Younger's 10 Commandements of Cross Examination

The showing of Irving Younger’s TEN COMMANDMENTS OF CROSS-EXAMINATION, and short discussion, will be hosted by Professor Hardaway on October 4, from noon-1PM in room #155 with pizza and refreshments provided. Recognized as the gold standard for cross-examination by trial lawyers around the country, this video presentation provides valuable strategic techniques by Professor Irving Younger, who has been variously described as the “closest thing to a rock star the legal profession has ever seen”, and the greatest teaching law professor. As an ABA handbook has noted, his performances have been described as “elegant, exquisitely crafted, and memorable in every way.”
