Former Speaker of the House, Mr. Romanoff currently works with an international non-profit trying to improve access to clean water in rural areas. He is also teaching a community engagement, night class for Sturm this month.

Maneuvering the Bar Application Process

James Coyle, Chief Deputy Regulation Counsel, Office of Attorney Regulation; Susan Gleeson, Director of Examinations and Barbara Ezyk, Executive Director of the Colorado Lawyer Assistance Program, will discuss maneuvering through the bar admission process. Topics will include the nuts and bolts of filing a bar application, taking the bar examination, getting through the character and fitness evaluation, and the formal hearing process.
Jim Coyle presently oversees the Intake Division, Operations and Administration of the Office of Attorney Regulation Counsel. In that capacity he also oversees the Board of Law Examiners, the Continuing Legal Education office and handles other functions delegated by Regulation Counsel. He earned his law degree from the University of Colorado. He has been a trial attorney with the Office since 1990. Mr. Coyle has been an active member of the Colorado Bar Association and has served on committees and subcommittees that have handled attorney regulation and practice of law issues.
Sue Gleeson oversees all aspects of the bar examination process. She has been a bar admission administrator since 1981. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Behavioral Science and Public Administration from Metropolitan State College in Denver. Ms. Gleeson has been an active member of the National Conference of Bar Examiners Council of Bar Admission Administrators where she regularly presents educational programs on various aspects of bar admission administration.
Barbara Ezyk manages all aspects of the Colorado Lawyer Assistance Program, pursuant to Rule 254, as adopted by the Colorado Supreme Court. Ms. Ezyk has been a Colorado licensed attorney since 1995 and licensed Registered Nurse since 1983. Ms. Ezyk obtained her law degree from the University of Denver and her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the Metropolitan State College in Denver. Ms. Ezyk has worked with judges, lawyers and law students in need of assistance due to physical and mental health issues. She has served on the Colorado Lawyers Helping Lawyers Board of Directors and has been an active participant of the Colorado Bar Association and the ABA Commission on Lawyer Assistance Programs.
