Competitors, in teams of two, conduct an interview with a person playing the role of the client. The focus is on the competitors’ ability to negotiate the most advantageous settlement for their client, given the circumstances and facts provided.
No advanced preparation is required! Half day competition!
Information Meetings*-January 11th and 12th
12:00-1:00pm in Room 170 (both days)
4:45-5:30pm in Room 155 (both days)
Sign-ups start at the Information Meetings and then by e-mail starting on Friday, January 13th until 5pm.
A BOND CHECK OF $100.00 PER TEAM IS REQUIRED.

A $50 bond check is required to sign up.
Bond checks will ONLY be cashed if a competitor drops after the drop date deadline.

Reasons why you should participate in the Nanda Bowl:
o Exciting topic! This year’s problem is about the use of force in self-defense against a terrorist organization, and the use of unmanned drones in military action
o We will help you with the law! We will provide basic materials to get you started and will have a substantive information session that will walk you through international law basics. Even if you know nothing about international law, you can compete in this competition!
o Great practice for appellate advocacy! It is great experience for everyone (especially 1Ls) to gain practice in oral arguments.
o Interested in trying out for the Jessup International Moot Court Team? The team gives great weight to participation in the Nanda Bowl when picking the team.
o No written portion! Just show up on the day of the competition and do the oral argument.
o Plenty of time to prepare! You will receive the problem as soon as you sign up and will have approximately one month to prepare.
