Employers Panel: How to Succeed in Your Summer Job and Fall OCI

Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 4:30pm - 5:30pm
Location: LAW 155 - Dinner Provided

Come to one (or both) of these sessions to find out how to impress (not distress!) your summer, school year, or permanent employer. Hear what various employers look for in prospective summer associates or externs, school year law clerks or interns, and permanent attorneys. Representatives from private and public sector employers will be on hand to answer your questions and provide tips to help you succeed, including:

•Professionalism and performance in the legal workplace
•How to make your application materials stand out
•What makes the difference in their hiring decisions
•What to do (or NOT do) to succeed in your summer position AND during Fall On-Campus Interviews

We will have different employers represented at each session so attend one or both! All of these employers have participated in OCI and hired students through this process.

(Note: This program is Part IV of our First Year Series, but all students are welcome to attend.)
