Friday, August 25 & Saturday, August 26
The University of Denver Sturm College of Law and the Latino Law Alumni Reunion Committee invite you to the Latino Law Alumni Reunion benefitting the Yegge Hispanic Scholarship Fund.
In 1967, at a time when there were only 14 Latino lawyers in the entire state of Colorado, Dean Robert B. Yegge made a commitment to increase the number of Latino lawyers in the southwest by creating an admissions program that supported Latinos who wished to obtain a law degree. The following year, Dean Yegge’s admissions program was modeled by the ABA and the AALS, and CLEO — the National Council on Legal Education Opportunity — was born.
To date, approximately 800 Latino men and women have graduated from Denver Law. This success is in no small part due to the generosity of donors such as Dean Yegge, for whom the Yegge Hispanic Scholarship is named. In 2012, the first Latino Law Reunion raised over $100,000 for the scholarship. Through this second reunion and fundraiser, all monies raised will again directly benefit the Yegge Hispanic Scholarship Fund and Denver Law students.
