(The information given here is also helpful for other mail clients, but not guaranteed.)

Use Pop3 as the type of email connection.

For students, the incoming server is exc2.law.du.edu and the outgoing mail server is barracuda.law.du.edu.

Under More Settings>>Servers "My Server Requires Authentication" must be checked.

Under More Settings>>Advanced, we recommend that you check "Leave a copy on the server" so that you can continue to check your email via Outlook Web Access.  You might want to check some of the housekeeping options underneath to keep things under control.
