Torts (Advanced) | L4615

Advanced Torts combines practical and theoretical discussion of issues that personal injury lawyers face in practice with field trips to lawyersÂ’ offices. The topics in the seminar vary but generally include fee agreements, damages, use of experts, medical malpractice, hospital and other liens, subrogation, and governmental immunity. The seminar emphasis the empirical reality of injuries, claims, and litigation. Enrollment is limited to 12 students and by permission of Professor Russell. Students must be available for field trips starting at 3:00 pm on six days, the exact configuration of which will be determined during the first week of class
