Medical Malpractice | L4444
This course is a study of the various types of medical malpractice claims, and special issues encountered in medical malpractice litigation. Students will learn how to select and prepare medical negligence cases for trial, with focus on the use of discovery tools in medical cases, hiring and working with medical experts, and explore settlement, subrogation, and probate approval for the settled claims of a minor. Medicine is central to medical malpractice litigation, so students will also be exposed to concepts in anatomy, physiology, pathology, medical terminology, and medical records in this course.
