Gender and the Law | L4260

This course surveys some of the ways that genders, primarily women as legal outsiders, but including non-traditional genders, have made themselves known in the law. There will be a brief survey of constitutional and statutory materials. Thereafter, we will hone in on specific issues, such as reproductive equity, Title IX (sports equity), pornography as a gender issue, and sex crimes as matters of gender equity.
