This online form is to be completed by a student intending to satisfy the Public Service Requirement via a Public Interest Practicum or Pro Bono Research Project only. If you intend to complete the requirement via participation in an applicable class, a clinic, or an applicable externship, you do not need to complete this form. Students may complete the Public Service Requirement after they have completed their first academic year. Students are strongly encouraged to complete the requirement before the last semester of law school.   1. Public Interest Practicum (Offered in Spring, Fall and Summer)
    A student completes a minimum of 50-hours of supervised, uncompensated, law-related work in a court or government office setting, or non-profit organization or a pre-approved uncompensated research project for a faculty member. A student may choose to do a Public Interest Practicum for one or zero academic credits as follows:
    Public Interest Practicum (for 1 Academic Credit)
    Public Interest Practicum (for 0 Academic Credit)
  2. - OR -
  3. Pro Bono Research Project (Offered in Spring, Fall and Summer)
    A student completes a minimum of 50-hours of supervised, uncompensated, law-related work either with the Colorado Lawyers Committee, Metro Volunteer Lawyers, Pro Bono Pat, or a law firm/solo practitioner doing pro bono or qualifying low-fee work only. Note: you are only doing the Pro Bono Research Project if you are fulfilling your public service requirement through a project you found in the Project Opportunity Database. A student may choose to do this for one or zero academic credits as follows:
    Pro Bono Research Project (for 1 Academic Credit)
    Pro Bono Research Project (for 0 Academic Credit)
