Michael Burg (right in photo) is a founding member of the law firm Burg, Simpson, Eldredge, Hersh & Jardine, P.C. Founded in 1977, Burg Simpson comprises over 40 attorneys and has offices in Colorado, Wyoming, Ohio and Arizona. Mr. Burg’s practice area focuses on personal injury law, commercial litigation, professional and legal malpractice, and securities law. A veteran of over 175 jury trials as lead counsel, Mr. Burg has received numerous accolades and awards. He was named “Lawyer of the Decade” (2000 to 2010) by Colorado Law Week, honored as one of America’s “45 Leading Trial Lawyers” by The Legal 500, and acknowledged as one of six leading lawyers nationally when it comes to representing individuals in pharmaceutical mass tort and class action litigation. Mr. Burg has also was named the 2013 Denver "Lawyer of the Year" in the category of mass tort litigation/class actions (plaintiffs) by Best Lawyers in America. Mr. Burg was appointed president of the National Trial Lawyers, a national organization comprised of the country's Top 100 trial lawyers from each state, is a life fellow of the American Board of Trial Advocates, a sustaining fellow of the Roscoe Pound Institute, and was named a director of the Faculty of Federal Advocates. Mr. Burg is a frequent guest speaker and lecturer at national legal conventions and seminars, and among his many contributions to Denver Law, Mr. Burg has established a scholarship at the law school, has served on the Alumni council, and has taught as an adjunct professor of law.
