Financial Aid Timeline for the 2008/2009 Academic Year
January - February:
Complete the 2008-2009 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Use your 2007 federal tax return to complete the FASFA. If you have not yet filed your return, estimate your 2007 income. The FAFSA is necessary to determine eligibility for many scholarships through the law school. In order to be considered, please have your FAFSA completed by February 15th.
May:
Accept your financial aid award on MyWeb »
June:
If you are interested in student loans additional loans beyond Stafford loans, apply for Federal Graduate PLUS Loan or private student loan and complete the corresponding Promissory Note through the lender of your choice (if you have not completed one with this lender in a previous year).
August:
Earliest financial aid refunds (for those students who have completed all requirements) are available during the week before fall classes begin.
