Professor Yoost is Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary of Hosting.com where he is responsible for managing all aspects of Hosting’s legal functions, practices, and policies. Professor Yoost advises other members of Hosting’s senior management team and its board regarding matters of legal risk and helps to lead corporate expansion through strategic acquisitions. Prior to his role at Hosting, Professor Yoost spent over five years with Alston & Bird LLP, an Am Law 100 firm, in Charlotte, North Carolina where he focused on mergers and acquisitions, securities law compliance, and general corporate and contract matters of privately held and publicly traded companies. Professor Yoost has extensive experience representing private equity groups and their portfolio companies and has advised various parties of numerous complex transactions with an aggregate deal value of over $5.5 billion.
Professor Yoost earned a J.D. with honors from the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. He also graduated magna cum laude from the College of William & Mary and studied international economics at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Professor Yoost has published articles in a variety of publications and has delivered many presentations and lectures on legal issues in private equity and corporate law. His publications have been extensively referenced in dozens of other publications, and one of his articles was reprinted as a chapter of a business law casebook.
Professor Yoost is passionate about teaching students practical skills, as well as substantive legal knowledge, with the primary purpose of helping students attain their chosen career goals.
