The Sturm College of Law offers a wide range of programs to help you pursue your interest in tax law. Our J.D. program offers a variety of specialty tax courses such as
Estate Planning, Strategic Tax Planning, and Corporate Taxation. The Sturm College of Law has a Low-Income Taxpayers Clinic which offers legal services to low-income citizens during tax season. Internships are available in many of Denver's successful tax companies, including Pricewaterhouse Coopers LLP, Deloitte & Touche LLP, Ernst & Young LLP, and CBIZ. Students can also participate
in National Tax Challenge (sponsored by Deloitte & Touche). Our winning record has yet to be matched by any other school (five first-place wins, four second-place wins, and one third-place win in the last 13 years).
We also offer a distinctive dual J.D./Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in Tax Law. The Graduate Tax Program, established in 1975, was one of the first programs of its kind offered in the United States. Students pursuing the dual degree can complete both degrees within four years as a full-time student.

"Specialization is a great way to augment your J.D. While the College of Law offers a very competitive J.D. program, having an LL.M. in taxation-specifically mergers and acquisitions-provides me additional career opportunities in an area of law I particularly enjoy."
